People who talk extensively on their cell phones when there is someone else sitting right in front of them

Can those people be sent to a special island so the rest of us don't have to deal with them?

  1. Also, do you ever notice how they're often talking about embarrassingly personal things that you'd never be caught dead saying in public, let alone on the phone?

  2. In New York they were selling cell phone signal jamming devices for exactly this reason - people tend to sit on commuter trains right across or behind you and hold long conversations loudly into their cell phone. People wanted to be able to block it all out (which is something like sending the speakers to a special island). But then they discovered that the devices because they would block the signal in an entire train and emergency calls couldn't get through, so they banned them. Oh well.

  3. I can't stand these people. They are extremely obnoxious and have no concept of an inside voice.

  4. Found your blog through Dave, the nice gentleman who posted above. And yes, I can't stand these people. I work in a retail store, my biggest pet peeve is people who check out while they continue their (often very loud) phone conversation. When the phone rings courtesy and respect oft go out the window.

  5. When I used to travel on a bus a lot I thought of purchasing one of the devices that cancel out cell phone reception. But when I looked into it I remember it being too pricey for my liking.... hmmm, maybe they have gone down in price... but then again that would stop your cell from letting you get calls/txts....
