Urban Dictionary

I have kind of strong views about Urban Dictionary. Basically I'm thinking it's what Wikipedia would be if Wikipedia were really opinionated and not that funny.

To illustrate my point, the following is an Urban Dictionary definition of "oral sex":

The act of two persons using their mouths to perform sexual intercourse. These two persons can be of the same or opposite sex but they are rarely a married couple.

Get it??????????

Now don't even try to say that I'm really opinionated and not that funny.

  1. Try Urban Dictionary-ing your name. It's funny.

  2. "If every woman were a Jennie there'd be no unhappy men." OK, I guess UD gets one point.

  4. It's strange that the entry for "Jennie" is so sarcastic. The entry for Steve is just a factual recitation:

Steve (short for Steven/Stephen) is a name associated with power and awesomeness.
An Australian male with the name Steve should be praised constantly.
Historians have noted that the name derives from a line of kings, sports stars and top blokes.
It has been noted that philosophers in the mould of Nostradamus and Albert Einstein have stated that the name Steve should be put away because it would be difficult for any young male to have such a burden placed on their shoulders.
However this theory was rebuked by the AOS (Association of Steves) who correctly suggested that once a child is named Steve they can automatically take upon such a mantle, as with the name they are the recipient of much greatness, authority and laid-backednesss.
Parents who embed their children with this hallowed name shall receive an all round champ of a son for their knowledgeable choice.
    My name is Steve
    All hail Steve, the almighty
